Additional film excerpts chosen by producer-writer Micah Khan, for a lively conversation about the power of food in film. Moderated by Susie Davidson Powell, The Dishing.

— A talk, tasting + book signing with food scholar Darra Goldstein + Chef Vlad Larvin.

Come try some funky ferments and fruit infused cordials/spirits. Darra Goldstein, the world’s leading scholar of Russian and Georgian food, and Siberian chef-restaurateur Vlad Larvin of Taiga restaurant in Hudson, will explore:
- how foraged botanicals and funky ferments connect Siberia to the Catskills
- how fermentation techniques preserve cultural traditions
- why time is an essential ingredient in creating flavor
- and, the stories behind the samples you’ll taste.
