The Dishing joins Opalka Gallery for an evening that treats food as material and flavor as connection. Five artists from Light and Transient Causes have each inspired a single tasting that reflects their process and the quiet, generational knowledge at the heart of the exhibition. Choose an arrival window, enjoy a welcome drink, and explore the stations in any order before continuing into the galleries. Allow about an hour. Tickets are $50, and space in each window is limited.

How it works:

• Choose an arrival window when you book. You're welcome anytime within your window, and there's no set group or guided tour. (If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you in the next group.)

• Allow about an hour to taste and explore the exhibition.

• Food and drink stay in the entry hall. The exhibition galleries are beyond, and you can continue through them and exit at the rear of the gallery.

• This is a tasting, not a dinner. It's the perfect start to an evening out in Albany.
