Where to go for $10+ martinis, Part II.

PART II
We already dished out Part I of our guide to $10 martinis so here we are with Part II. Prices start at $6 and go up to $13 because we think a $12 or $13 martini is still an excellent deal. Pop the dates on your calendar for pocket-friendly martinis any night of the week.  

  1. $6 Mini Martinis at Familiar Creature, 42 Phila Street, Saratoga Visit
    You read that right. Familiar Creature is not only taking on the trend for tiny cocktails, but slashing the price to a tiny six bucks during happy hour with their Mini Martinis available Tues to Thursday from 4 to 5:30pm, when you’ll also find 20% off bottles and Coravin pours plus a couple of dollars of beers and a chef’s charc board.

  2. $10 martinis at Ember & Cork, 469 State Street, Schenectady Visit
    Ember & Cork isn’t stopping at $10 martinis: Their 4 to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday happy hour includes 50% off wines, well cocktails and beer, as well as $2 oysters and a happy hour bar menu. Who are we kidding? You’re going for a short stack of $10 ‘tinis.

  3.  $10 martinis at The Nest, 512 State Street, Schenectady Visit
    Make Tuesday at The Nest a recurring appointment on your Google calendar. From 5pm to close those ice cold ‘tinis are $10 a pop so who’s gonna stop you? 

  4.  $10 martinis at Saint Florian’s, 342 Warren Street, Hudson  Visit ***NEW ENTRY!***
    Saint Florian’s $10 martini classico - with your choice of vodka or gin and olives, a lemon twist or house-pickled onion - is available every day during happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. But then again, it’s only $13 during all the other hours of the day. More reliable than your boyfriend. 

  5. $10 martinis at Albany Ale & Oyster, 289 New Scotland Ave, Albany Visit ***NEW ENTRY!***
    Another spot rewarding us with a blanket $10 price tag for happy hour cocktails. That’s 3 to 5pm Monday to Friday, and what’s a martini if not a classic cocktail? Go forth and imbibe and take advantage of their oyster and lobster roll specials too.

  6. $12 martinis at The Roosevelt Room, 112 N. Greenbush Road, Troy Visit
    Head out for $12 martinis at the stylish bar in The Roosevelt Room during 4 to 6 p.m.  happy hour from Monday to Thursday or have a few on Sunday when martinis are priced $12 all day. Still bar only.

  7. $12 freezer martini at Lone Wolf, 240 Fox Hall Ave, Kingston Visit 
    During happy hour Wednesday to Friday from 5-7, this $12 freezer martini is a savory stunner with tomato brine, tomato water + basil in each batch. 

  8. $13 select martinis at Sea Smoke, 10 Starbuck Drive, Green Island Visit
    Belly up to the bar for Sea Smoke’s happy hour from Sunday to Thursday, 4 to 6 p.m., for $13 martinis but you might like to add steamed clams or calamari for $9, $11 beef sliders or $2.50 oysters. Do you even need dinner after that?

  9. $13 pickle martini at Sorry Charlie,  523 Delaware Ave, Kingston Visit 
    You really can’t go wrong with a Cornichon martin for 13. Featuring Citadelle cornichon gin, vermouth, brine, saline. On the menu and available to you at any time for a pocket-friendly $13. 

  10. $13 martini at Dove + Deer, 32 Dove Street, Albany  Visit
    Bear in mind, this is a $13 well vodka or gin martini and the second you order Tito’s or Tanqueray by name that martini is going to jump up $3 or $4. Stick to the basics and you’ll still stay at $13. 

  11. $13 select martinis at The Loft @205, 205 Lark Street, Albany  Visit 

    Head upstairs from Bar Vegan to The Loft for a $13 dirty vodka martini. Those with a sweeter tooth will find fig-tinis and lychee martinis for $13 and a classic cosmo at the same price.

In Kingston, order a perfectly chilled $14 draft martini at Eliza, or – pushing the price point up to $15 – try the superb pepperoncini brine ‘Cini Tini at Ollie’s in High Falls. Don’t sleep on the “Burger + Martini Saturdays” happening at Quinnie’s in Hudson with Dirty Dog Farm’s grass-fed beef burgers and $15 Supergay gin or vodka wet martinis.
