In Troy, Emry’s Garden is upping their game with a strong show in their new winter cocktail menu.

From their Banana Bread Old Fashioned to a perfect Ginger Hot Toddy, there’s plenty to keep you cozy at Emry’s Garden. Happily cocooned among the tropical foliage shielding us from thoughts of the minus temps outside, you might be tempted by a Candy Cane espresso martini or a rosemary-cranberry mule (which sounds more like a Thanksgiving stuffing than a mule.) Even a Midnight Manhattan with Rittenhouse rye, Lucano amaro and orange bitters feels under the festive influence in the same way a Terry’s Chocolate Orange steals thess Christmas spotlight.

Banana Bread Old Fashioned: Bourbon, Banana Liqueur, Chocolate and Walnut Bitters.
Emry’s isn’t the place for advanced spirit infusions or a clarified milk punch, but steady pours and seasonal inspiration has taken hold at Emry’s Garden and we’re seeing big improvements in their cocktail game. The new Banana Bread Old Fashioned is a case in point. While it’s still a little sweet for those who proactively shy away, this version made an excellent after dinner sipper in place of dessert.
