We like it for: Sake, Tokyo-style record bar, late night hang outs, after dinner drinks.
Must try: Sake over pours, Japanese pizza (cod roe, togarashi, furikake, nori) and Tokyo-style “mac + cheese“ with noodles, torched cheese + Japanese condiments.
The Vibe: Faithful recreation of Tokyo’s Golden Gai record bar
Sound: Constantly evolving vinyl. Customers bring in albums or make requests. Staff rotate to fit the mood.
Style: Tokyo record bar.

The latest in the Clark House Hospitality compound which includes Donna’s Italian, Lucas Confectionery, Troy Wine Co., Little Pecks, Tavern Bar and The Grocery, Daisuki reflects owner Vic Christopher’s passion for Tokyo. From his many trips to the city, he has faithfuly recreated a Tokyo Golden Gai record bar complete with maps, receipts, tickets and memorabilia from his trips as well as his huge vinyl record collection. With a selection of sakes and Japanese style cocktails from highballs to sake cocktails, he features the popular sake overpour where a sake glass is placed inside a box and the glass filled to overflowing as a sign of generosity and welcome. While Daisuki has only 14 seats, including four mushroom stools in the window, and (most likely) the area’s tiniest bathroom toilet, Daisuki’s late night hours and friendly vibes has made it a popular spot to drop in for a swift one or linger into the wee hours which in turns has made it the natural successor to his former bar, The Bradley. Plus longtime Bradley bartender, Vivica, is the sole full-time member of staff.

Daisuki is quite literally retrofitted into a space next to Troy Wine Co. that used to be a walk-in ATM terminal for a bank. Make sure you look up to see the ornate Japanese panels over the bar and the random ephemera on shelves.
