INTEL: WHO IS THE MEAT STICK CHICK?

A DJing hotdog stand? In Schenectady? It’s true. Sawyer Pollard, whose family owns Frog Alley Brewing, has launched a mobile glizzy trailer as the hot-dog slingin’, DJ spinning’ Meat Stick Chick. With a cheeky A.I. hotdog logo, a hashtag #SPINEATREPEAT + a pink hot dog cart — Ms. Pollard is serving party vibes.

Sometimes social media delivers a banger like The Meat Stick Chick. I DM’d @themeatstickchick for the story and got an immediate call from the fearless, high energy Sawyer Pollard. With DJ lessons under her belt, a pink hot dog trailer, and a new Glizzy Gobbler Club, The Meat Stick Chick is officially here.

New glizzy on the block: The Meat Stick Chick launches in Schenectady.

The Millennial pink, DJ-ing Meat Stick Chick is ready to service private events, after parties, company lunches and any other good time that needs hot dogs and beats. Could this wallet-friendly business head for global hotdog domination? We got the firsthand scoop from The Meat Stick Chick herself.

1. Sawyer, you have a pink hot dog cart and you’ve been taking DJ lessons. When did you decide your future was in DJ spinnin’ hotdogs?

My dad owns Frog Alley Brewing in Schenectady, and I mention that because that’s really how this whole idea came to me. Over the summer, Michael Bahil, also known as DJ Mix It Up, was performing at our venue, and he inspired me to start learning how to DJ. I started taking weekly lessons with him and I was really enjoying it.

At Frog Alley, we make a vodka called 10 Mill Vodka, and I often go to liquor stores to hand out free samples and promote the brand. One day during one of these tastings, the store owner mentioned wanting to host a big event for 10 Mill and said he planned to have a DJ. I told him I’d been taking lessons, so maybe by then I could be the DJ. He loved that idea. He then went on to say we could also have a hot dog trailer at the event. Naturally, my mind went straight to a DJ-ing hot dog trailer. And in true Sawyer fashion, it was going to be pink and it was going to be a party.

2. How did you prepare for this life changing new career? Did you really go to Munich for glizzy research?

The funny thing is, I’ve never been a cook  at all. I’ve always been the one to overcook everything, just like my mom! But once I had this idea, I decided I was going to learn how to make the best darn hot dog you’ve ever had. Before this, I had never even started a grill on my own, had only used one a handful of times, and definitely had never hooked up or driven a trailer. But I dove right in. Between my DJ lessons, asking almost every Frog Alley customer what their favorite hot dog brand is (and realizing I had no idea how strongly people felt about their hot dog brands) and spending plenty of time testing and perfecting different dogs on the grill (and figuring out how to start it, for that matter), I learned fast! …And of course I took a little “market research” trip to Oktoberfest in Munich. So at this point, I can confidently say you’re gonna love The Meat Stick Chick.

3. What kind of hot dogs are you selling?

Right now, I’m serving classic beef and pork hot dogs. As I grow, I plan to expand the menu to include different styles of hot dogs, sausages, and even chicken skewers. I want to keep an open mind and build around what people are asking for. The menu includes the Basic Banger, a bacon-wrapped dog, the octopus cut into the shape of an octopus, toppings and the meat stick which is anywhere from two to five hotdogs on a stick.

4. What is the Glizzy Gobbler Club?

The Glizzy Gobbler Club is my exclusive membership for the true hot dog lovers out there. Starting in January 2026, members can pay a flat price ($60) and get free toppings, half off all Meat Sticks, and a limited-edition Glizzy Gobbler Club T-shirt.
